(Heb 6:1) “Therefore leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on unto perfection; not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith toward God,” “Leaving the principals of faith toward God”: Leaving, not as to leave behind, but to proceed forward upon. Faith, trust in what God has said, is at the heart of Christianity: (Heb_11:6) “But without faith it is impossible to please Him: for he that cometh to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him.”
