Thirsting Souls Bible Teaching

(Heb 4:16) :Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.”   This is not a blanket “forgiveness” to a thoughtless prayer-at-night of “forgive me of my sins”. The very word “mercy” implies one is coming in repentance, “I have sinned”, thus “I am guilty”. “I deserve judgment”, but the Lord is offering mercy through grace – unmerited favor. We are coming through Christ Jesus.
