DAILY DROP OF WATER

(1Co 6:15) “Know ye not that your bodies are the members of Christ? shall I then take the members of Christ, and make them the members of an harlot? God forbid.”  The true picture of a husband and wife being one flesh in the sight of God, is to enlighten us of this great truth: the born again have been made one with Christ Jesus. That is why we can be seen as “justified” and “righteous”. For more come to www.thirstingsouls.com

DAILY DROP OF WATER

(1 Cor 6:13b) “… Now the body is not for fornication, but for the Lord; and the Lord for the body. (14) And God hath both raised up the Lord, and will also raise up us by his own power.”  Since the Lord by the Spirit of God lives inside the saved, He will by Him resurrect these bodies transforming them into glorified bodies (1 Cor 15:52). That day is getting closer quickly.

DAILY DROP OF WATER

(1 Cor 6:13) Meats for the belly, and the belly for meats: but God shall destroy both it and them. Now the body is not for fornication, but for the Lord; and the Lord for the body.” The body is for the Lord”: the body of the saved is to house the Lord that He might tabernacle upon this earth. Just think of it: thousands upon thousands of people walking among a lost world with the knowledge of the Lord living inside them, seeking to allow Him to speak through them and to use their bodies as witness: “My Lord is real!” “Salvation is real!

DAILY DROP OF WATER

(1Co 6:12) “All things are lawful unto me, but all things are not expedient: all things are lawful for me, but I will not be brought under the power of any. (13) Meats for the belly, and the belly for meats: but God shall destroy both it and them. Now the body is not for fornication, but for the Lord; and the Lord for the body.” There are things this body needs and there are things it desires. One thing needs to be in the forefront of our minds: this body is the Lord’s. It is no longer mine.

DAILY DROP OF WATER

(1Co 6:12) “All things are lawful unto me, but all things are not expedient: all things are lawful for me, but I will not be brought under the power of any.” “All things are lawful”: in this case it means the law of been completely kept by my Savior so I am no longer in violation of it. Yet, that does not free me to offend God, therefore “but all things are not expedient” – conducive to holy living. Proof – sexual sin (v.13).

DAILY DROP OF WATER

(1Co 6:11) “And such were some of you:…but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God”  Though I might fall into one of those sins listed in verses 9 &10, I stand “justified” (as if I never committed one of them) as far as my eternal destiny is concerned. Yet, that sin will and does affect my fellowship with Him: Hab_1:13 “Thou art of purer eyes than to behold evil, and canst not look on iniquity:…”
