DAILY DROP OF WATER

(1Pe 1:1) “Peter, an apostle of Jesus Christ, to the strangers scattered throughout Pontus, Galatia, Cappadocia, Asia, and Bithynia,”  The Holy Spirit is referring to Christian Jews as “strangers”. The truth is, every saved person has been changed inside, making them “strangers” to this world. (1Pe 2:10) “Which in time past were not a people, but are now the people of God: which had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy. (11) Dearly beloved, I beseech you as strangers and pilgrims, abstain from fleshly lusts, which war against the soul;” ;”  I would rather not be a stranger to the Lord, making me a stranger to this world, than have all the riches and fellowship this world has to offer!

DAILY DROP OF WATER

(1Co 1:7) “So that ye come behind in no gift; waiting for the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ:”  I spoke yesterday of the truth that if one believed the Lord was coming back today, we would clean our spiritual house. Yet, the truth is, He is already here inside the saved. Shouldn’t we be concerned about the cleanness of our house NOW!

DAILY DROP OF WATER

(1Co 1:7) “So that ye come behind in no gift; waiting for the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ:”  Whenever someone is coming over, my wife is rushing around the house cleaning and straightening. IF you and I were convinced the Lord was coming back today, we would cleaning and straightening up our spiritual house.

DAILY DROP OF WATER

No doctrine of the Bible thrills my soul more than that of the Security of the Believer, that we are saved through Jesus Christ, atoned ONLY by His blood. In other Words, a person is saved only by and because of, Jesus plus NOTHING on our part. (1Co 1:7) “So that ye come behind in no gift; waiting for the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ: (8) Who shall also confirm you unto the end, that ye may be blameless in the day of our Lord Jesus Christ.”

DAILY DROP OF WATER

(Rom 1:1) “Paul, a servant of Jesus Christ, called to be an apostle, separated unto the gospel of God,  (2)  (Which he had promised afore by his prophets in the holy scriptures,)”  How I wish that men and women looked upon the Word of God as Holy! If we saw the Scriptures as Holy, would we toss our Bibles around? Would men and women deal loosely in translating? Would preachers quit seeking a verse in various versions to support what they wish to teach? Both in the Old Testament and in the New it warns us regarding adding or subtracting from God’s Words. The Word of God IS Holy!

DAILY DROP OF WATER

(1Jn 5:20) “And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know him that is true,….” To know Him in truth, or  “Him that is true” is to know Him as He really is, not as we would like Him to be. So many who claim to know Him today really know Him as the god of their imagination. What they would say of Him is not to be trusted.  If you want to know Him, you must seek Him in His Word and accept Him as He is!
