(1Ti 2:5) “For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;” One God. In my lifetime it has been repeatedly said, “We all worship the same God.” By this, they mean even though we do not agree as to doctrine, that’s all right, we still worship the same God. Friend, what you believe as far as the Bible is concerned is the difference between heaven and hell. The salvation of the soul requires an experience of rebirth, not at a forced time of age, but as individuals recognizing what their practice of sin cost the Savior, and with a desire to turn from it asking forgiveness. Then, and only then, does God given eternal life in response to what HE sees as genuine. Consider: in Acts (an historical book), you only see adults getting saved.

DAILY DROP OF WATER
(1 Ti 2:3b) “…..in the sight of God our Saviour; (4) Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.” God our Savior! Jesus proclaimed that He and the Father are one. In John Chapter 1 it is written, “In the beginning was the Word; and the Word was with God and the Word was God.” God the Savior died for the “world” (Jn 3:16) which means He bore the sins of all men on the cross. The price has been paid. All that is left is for men to repent of their sin and embrace Him for mercy and forgiveness! He is the Savior!
DAILY DROP OF WATER
(1 Ti 2:3b) “…..in the sight of God our Saviour; (4) Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.” Once a person has been born again, adopted into the family of God, there is spiritual growth to maturity that only comes through living “by every Word that proceedeth from the mouth of God.” That Word is only found in the Bible – “the knowledge of the truth”. It is complete. There is no new revelation taking place today. Go to the Word of God and grow as you obey.
DAILY DROP OF WATER
(1 Ti 2:3b) “…..in the sight of God our Saviour; (4) Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.” There are some who teach God “elected” some to be saved and some to be lost. I have no trouble excepting that the Lord has the right to do as He pleases – He is God Almighty. Yet, we understand and embrace God as He has revealed Himself to be. Before us, he plainly says His desire for man is that they would each be saved. Both teachings cannot stand together. God has not “elected” some to be lost. A lost man’s choice brings him to that position.
DAILY DROP OF WATER
(1Ti 2:1) “I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; (2) For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty. (3) For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour;” Verse 3 is the reason for all obedience. We understand that we live in the sight of our Savior and wish to please Him in every area of our lives! May it be so in your life and mine.
DAILY DROP OF WATER
(1Ti 2:1) “I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; (2) For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.” In my limited knowledge, I see dishonesty taking place for one of two reasons – to deceive or to protect self (pride). I would expect among believers that the latter is more prevalent than the former. Dishonesty to protect self should be confessed to whom we have deceived no matter the cost to ourselves. This is the only way the Lord can bless us.

(1Ti 2:1) “I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; (2) For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.” The desire in obedience to God in all things is firstly for something that should go without saying, “God’s glory”. Secondly, we obey that the end result might be “a quiet and peaceable life”. Yet, this does not mean “peace at any price”; that is, however you can achieve it, do it. To disobey the Scripture at any level or for any reason is not to possess “godliness and honesty”. Whether it be easy or hard, obey the Word of God.
THIRSTING SOULS BIBLE SERMONS: “Have You Been Healed?” John Chapter 5
This sermon finds us looking closely at another blessed day in the Life of Christ. He walked through a multitude of people in need of healing, yet heals only one. Why?
THIRSTING SOULS BIBLE TEACHING: Old Testament Survey Lesson #10
In this lesson we cover from the incident of Noah and Ham to just after the tower of Babel. Once again we see the Lord giving us numbers through genealogy so we can keep a time-line of the age of the earth (AE).
DAILY DROP OF WATER
(1 Tim 1:18b) “….that thou by them mightest war a good warfare; (19) Holding faith, and a good conscience; which some having put away concerning faith have made shipwreck:” We cannot battle if we have not the faith that what is are standing for is truly the Word of God. We are search our conscience, honestly looking at ourselves, putting away all the excuses, asking the Lord to reveal hidden sin, to be sure we are standing for what is right. Sometimes our hearts reveal to us that what we are most concerned about it not “right”, or “His Word”, but our own pride or desire.
