(Heb 5:9) “And being made perfect, He became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey Him;”    The words “unto all that obey Him” do not and cannot imply that eternal salvation is kept by our obedience to certain things. If so, it could not be said to be eternal. It implies that it is given at the point of obedience to something. That something is called repentance: (Mar_1:15) “And saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel.” (Lk 13:3,5; Acts 2:38; 3:19; 17:30; 26:20).
