(Heb 2:17) “Wherefore in all things it behoved Him to be made like unto His brethren, that He might be a merciful and faithful high priest in things pertaining to God, to make reconciliation for the sins of the people.”   The making of the Lord Jesus our Great High Priest is not only prophecied through speaking of Melchezedec, but through O.T. sacrificial law: it was the High Priest that performed the act of offering and applying “reconciliation” for man’s sin. Jesus did that for you and me.
