(Heb 2:6) “But one in a certain place testified, saying, What is man, that thou art mindful of him? or the son of man, that thou visitest him?” The pride of man says, “Of course God will take notice and help me. I’m worth it.” Yet, God’s estimate of man is “righteousness as filthy rags (Is 64:6); “none that doeth good; no. not one. Their throat is an open sepulchre; no fear of God” (Rom 3:10=18). Therefore from God’s perspective, “why” indeed?
