(Mat 21:4) “All this was done, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet, saying, (5) Tell ye the daughter of Sion, Behold, thy King cometh unto thee, meek, and sitting upon an ass, and a colt the foal of an ass.” This was a demonstration of the character, the heart, of the Lord Jesus Christ! This coming was for the purpose of dying for our sins. It was for the purpose of taking our place on the cross as the Offender of God! He died in our place! He was indeed “meek” in His willingness to bear shame to save us from an eternity in Hell!

Amen; all things are done to fulfill the will of the Almighty; assuredly, God is the Almighty because He is ALL MIGHTY. As such, there can be nothing happenstance; all must be done in accordance with His sovereign will – if it were not so, if just one little things could happen outside His will, then He would no longer be: ALL MIGHTY. Believers should take great comfort from understanding that we are in the midst of God’s working out His sovereign will in our lives – making all things work together for our good, and this good is that we are made to be like Jesus – day by day throughout the entirety of our lives.
