(1Co 1:7) “So that ye come behind in no gift; waiting for the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ:” Whenever someone is coming over, my wife is rushing around the house cleaning and straightening. IF you and I were convinced the Lord was coming back today, we would cleaning and straightening up our spiritual house.

Amen; as Paul wrote this letter to the Corinth believers, his introduction in these first few verses was aimed at addressing a growing problem: differing interpretations of Scripture causing quarrelsome divisions; which, left unchecked, would stifle their concentration on what should be their (and our) First Love – Jesus Christ. Let us unite in our RESOLVE to love the Lord Jesus, and trust the Holy Spirit to guide us in RESOLVING our Scriptural differences. Rejoicing in Christ, Dr. Wirth
