DAILY DROP OF WATER

(Heb 1:3) “Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high;”    “Upholding”: carrying the load which is fully explained in Col 1:14 “In whom we have redemption through his blood,… (15) Who is the image of the invisible God,… (16) For by him were all things created,…(17) And he is before all things, and by him all things consist (literally held together; upholding).

DAILY DROP OF WATER

(Heb 1:3) “Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high;”    When it says “the express image of His person…”, it is referring to one so molded as a duplicate of the other. One cannot find fault or distortion between the Person of Christ and the rest of the Godhead. SEE  2 Cor 4:6

DAILY DROP OF WATER

(Heb 1:3) “Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high;”   The glory seen at Mount Horeb and in the Temple was as smoke from a dark fire (Heb 12:18-21; 1 Kgs 8:12). God’s true glory shown to Moses made His face to shine the rest of his life (Ex 34-35). That glory was seen in Jesus at the Mount of Transfiguration (Matt 17:2).

DAILY DROP OF WATER

(Heb 1:2) “Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds;”   “I and the Father are one” (Jn 10:30). God now dwells and speaks through the man, Jesus. At the mount He spoke and Israel asked Him to stop, but instead speak through a man. He agreed and promised another in Moses’ place fulfilling that in Jesus (Duet 18:15).

DAILY DROP OF WATER

(Heb 1:2) “Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds;”   He made the worlds – plural; what is visible and invisible (Col 1:16). Through His death in our place (New Testament), He rose again the heir of that same will, now to share it to the saved “in” Him! Glory!

DAILY DROP OF WATER

(Heb 1:1) “God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets,”  “Sundry times” means at different times periods up unto the public ministry of Christ. For example, God spoke prophetically through Jacob blessing his sons. Four hundred years later God spoke through Moses to their offspring.

DAILY DROP OF WATER

(2Co 13:14) “The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Ghost, be with you all. Amen.”  “Communion of the Holy Ghost” is referring to an ongoing close fellowship with the Godhead through He Who now lives, inhabits, the body of the Born Again, spirit made alive, Child of God. Do you have such fellowship?

DAILY DROP OF WATER

(2Co 13:14) “The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Ghost, be with you all. Amen.”   Before us the Godhead: Jesus Christ, God [the Father], and the Holy Spirit are called upon to bless us. “The love of God” has been directed toward each of us through the cross of Calvary: “God gave His only begotten Son”.
