There is more being a part of a church than most understand. Our study of the text focuses on how our Lord desires us to conduct ourselves in the church. It is further practical teaching upon the book’s theme: “Be ye holy as I am holy”.

Chapter Three continues with practical instruction carried over from Chapter Two. That practical instruction is on how to fulfill the precept: “Be  ye holy for I am holy” (1:16). In doing so, we are taught vital husband/wife relationship guidelines.

After using different titles to press upon our hearts our responsiblity as Believers, Chapter Two moves on to practical instruction beginning with government. This lesson covers this in detail and ends with the opening verses of Chapter Three, the subject being the Home.

This study finds us finishing the various names by which the Believer is addressed. We give four reasons the Lord communicated to us in this way. The subject of Chapter Two then moves to practical areas of life where holiness is required.

This study finds us looking closely at names given to every Born Again Child of God. These are given to direct us in seeking to please the Lord. They both are names which honor Him and names to direct us in our service of Him.

During this study we spend time considering spiritual sacrifices we can make unto God; those that will please Him; those that will bring Him glory. Afterwards we begin an interesting study of the different names the Lord applies to the Child of God.

Chapter Two speaks of the Believer being made a priest to offer up spiritual sacrifices. We begin in this study to explore what kind of sacrifices the Bible states is required. We also seek to  understand how we are linked together as a spiritual house.

What is “faith”? Is there merit in having faith? I’ve heard it said, “I have great faith!” This study addresses that topic. The last half of this video sums up an overview of Chapter One.

This study looks at various Scriptures that teach one can be saved, “in the faith”, here in this life. Salvation is not waiting until the next life to be sure I’m saved from hell. The Bible holds forth salvation as a supernatural work begun in you; a time and place where you are put “in Christ”, the Lord seeing you now sitting in the heavenlies!
