(1 Tim 6:14c) “….our Lord Jesus Christ: ……….(16) Who only hath immortality, dwelling in the light which no man can approach unto;…..” The light is the glory of God, that which was the Son’s place before coming to this earth, and now is His rightly place for all eternity as God the resurrected Son: (Joh_17:5) “And now, O Father, glorify thou me with thine own self with the glory which I had with thee before the world was.” As saved “in Christ” the Book of Revelation teaches we will live in the light of that glory in the New Jerusalem!

(1 Tim 6:14c) “…our Lord Jesus Christ: (15) Which in his times he shall shew, who is the blessed and only Potentate, the King of kings, and Lord of lords; (16) Who only hath immortality,….” What? I thought now that we are saved, we possess immortality. Why then does it say Jesus alone has it? Get this: the saved are “in” Christ Jesus. Read the Epistles and you will see that term “in Christ” again and again. The Bible is always true. Our salvation and all that comes with it is “in” Christ Jesus.
DAILY DROP OF WATER
(1 Tim 6:14) “…. our Lord Jesus Christ: (15) Which in his times he shall shew, who is the blessed and only Potentate, the King of kings, and Lord of lords;” As you look at this verse, can you say He is your King and Lord? Do you obey Him in the matter of treating others as you would be treated; faithfully going and serving in a local Bible Believing Church; daily seeking His face and desire in prayer; searching His Bible so that you can obey Him fully and rightly

(1Ti 6:14) “That thou keep this commandment without spot, unrebukeable, until the appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ: (15) Which in his times he shall shew, who is the blessed and only Potentate, the King of kings, and Lord of lords;” Notice the wording, “…Who is the blessed and ONLY Potentate,……” – ruler. He stands alone: (Php 2:7) “But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: (8) And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross. (9) Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name:” He deserves more than our lip service!
DAILY DROP OF WATER
(1Ti 6:14) “That thou keep this commandment without spot, unrebukeable, until the appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ: (15) Which in his times He shall shew,…..” The saved are doing a pilgrimage through this life on God’s timetable. We do not know that timetable, but we know He Who established it. Therefore we know each event will take place. In the meantime, we are told, but diligently faithful demonstrating godliness before the world of the ungodly – in essence doing the impossible before them. By doing so, we may rescue some of them.
DAILY DROP OF WATER
(1Ti 6:14) “That thou keep this commandment without spot, unrebukeable, until the appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ:” The “appearing of the Lord”, the first event being the “snatching away” (rapture) of the church, is near. The world itself has become Sodom and Gomorrah. The seven years of judgment is near. It is time to live every day as if today was the day to meet thy God.
DAILY DROP OF WATER
(1Ti 6:14) “That thou keep this commandment without spot, unrebukeable, until the appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ:” “Without spot, unrebukable”: fully and completely so that no one can say you sinned. All of God’s Word is to be kept fully. We should never in our minds and hearts assume that we have the right to not fully obey. Who are we to say that because we think something is all right, we no longer have to fully follow God’s plainly stated Word? Those are called in the Bible, “presumptuous sins”.
DAILY DROP OF WATER
(1Ti 6:13) “I give thee charge in the sight of God, who quickeneth all things, and before Christ Jesus, who before Pontius Pilate witnessed a good confession;” Why mention Jesus before Pontius Pilate? Timothy is being encouraged to remain strong in this fight for the faith, walking in the Spirit, thus manifesting those spiritual qualities as Jesus did! That……my brothers/sisters is the goal! Not our glory, but the desire to seek His before the lost!
DAILY DROP OF WATER
(1Ti 6:13) “I give thee charge in the sight of God, who quickeneth all things,….” It is God alone that gave life, gives life, and has said, “Ye must be born again….that which is born of the Spirit is spirit”, meaning He desires to give spiritual life. Man knows in his heart the cost to him of having spiritual life will be the forsaking of their old life – sinful life. We do them wrong when we say, “No”, just believe, just accept, and you will be saved. The message Jesus preached was “repent”, meaning to have a desire to turn around and walk with God in the righteous life.
DAILY DROP OF WATER
(1Ti 6:13) “I give thee charge in the sight of God,….” How often we forget we are always in the sight of God. The things I say to others; my attitude towards them; what I do in the privacy of my home; my very thoughts; these are all done in the sight of God Who sees and…….cares.
