(Heb 1:1) “God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets,” “Divers manners” means “various ways”.  For example, God spoke in an audible voice as well as through men and even an animal (Balaam’s donkey), as well as through various angels.
