Thirsting Souls Bible Teaching

(2Co 2:3) “And I wrote this same unto you, lest, when I came, I should have sorrow from them of whom I ought to rejoice; having confidence in you all, that my joy is the joy of you all.”  Be careful in not perceiving the two sides of “I wrote….lest, when I came…” to mean Paul wrote of his own determination and will. He did not. When the Bible says, (2Ti_3:16) “All scripture is given by inspiration of God,…”, it gives us this understanding: the Holy Spirit moved Paul to think like this and make determinations in this way.
