(2Co 1:24) “Not for that we have dominion over your faith, but are helpers of your joy: for by faith ye stand.” The attitude here is the opposite of the world’s view of authority. The world sees authority as being over another person. Biblical authority is service to others. One is merely a vessel that is used of God. Even to rebuke under His direction is for their good rather than the authority’s.
