Thirsting Souls Bible Teaching

(1Co 14:22) “Wherefore tongues are for a sign, not to them that believe, but to them that believe not: but prophesying serveth not for them that believe not, but for them which believe.”  The prophecy (v.21) proves the purpose of this gift; to reach lost souls. Its use within the church was therefore wrong. Unlike what we so wrongly think: the gathering of God’s people are for their edification; not for the reaching of the lost. Each member is to seek the souls of the lost, lead them to Him, and then bring them into the fold of the church.
