(1Co 11:20) “When ye come together therefore into one place, this is not to eat the Lord’s supper. (21) For in eating every one taketh before other his own supper: and one is hungry, and another is drunken.” There is no getting around the fact; “drunken” refers to “drinking alcohol”. For those who might claim this makes social drinking all right, I point out these were in sin. What they were doing was sin. That which is written is to correct a church of sinful activities.
