(1Th 1:5) “For our gospel came not unto you in word only, but also in power, and in the Holy Ghost, and in much assurance;” Notice that which will accompany the gospel if we will give it in truth – the full gospel. The full gospel is not only the telling of the death, the burial, and the resurrection of the Lord Jesus but also “why” it had to take place so that repentance might come. The Holy Spirit bears witness to the heart with much assurance that these facts are truth. And then when the individual repents in heart, the power of the Holy Spirit gives life to the individual’s spirit, imparting the gift of everlasting life!
