Thirsting Souls Bible Teaching

(1Th 1:4)  “Knowing, brethren beloved, your election of God.”  The Lord, before time began, knowing man would sin against Him, determined to save the repentant through faith in the sacrifice of His Son in their place. These are “elect” in that they are saved from among those who will not be saved. The Holy Spirit is having Paul verbally acknowledge that these are God’s, the “elect”. Why say it? Because it focus’ glory upon the God of grace and mercy: (Rom 11:33) “O the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! how unsearchable are his judgments, and his ways past finding out!”
