(Lk 23:46) “And when Jesus had cried with a loud voice, he said, Father, into thy hands I commend my spirit: and having said thus, he gave up the ghost. (47) Now when the centurion saw what was done, he glorified God, saying, Certainly this was a righteous man. (48) And all the people that came together to that sight, beholding the things which were done, smote their breasts, and returned. (49) And all his acquaintance, and the women that followed him from Galilee, stood afar off, beholding these things.” None of us can really comprehend the days following this tragedy! The best, most loving, most giving Person Who ever walked this earth as gone – taken in the most awful of ways! What emptiness! What loss! I only know this: after having Him in my life for 45 years, I wouldn’t what to live another minute without Him!
Amen; The pastor led his congregation in Good Friday services, while a young boy sat unnoticed behind all the worshippers; then it happened: the boy heard the pastoral words: “Jesus died for you.” The boy burst into tears, and his immediate response echoes across the 59 years since – “THANK YOU.” Having that instant trusted in Jesus Christ dying for him and his sins, the boy forever walks with His Risen Savior. I know this to be true, for the boy is me. Rejoicing in Christ, Dr. Wirth – Pastoring Hope Chapel
